THE TRANSPORTER
Behind The Scenes Video
Behind the scenes video footage shot by David Meanti during the making of The Transpoter movie.
Production note: these truck fight scenes were directed by Corey Yuen and were filmed on the D9 motorway that was under construction -
Reviewing a scene during filming. Although Jason's contract called for him doing all the stunts....the producers left a few of the stunts to the professionals in fear that Jason could become injured and the production could be put at risk. But he did most of the fight scenes himself, including the "oil scene" in the warehouse. The "oil" was actually mollassas.

This is Matt rehearsing getting kicked out of the cab of the truck (his last scene in the film). The truck cab and orange container were attached to a blue flatbed trailer (which can be seen in the back ground) and during filming were pulled up and down the D9 motorway by a large tow vehicle.
This is the hospital where Wallstreet (Matt Schulze) goes to see one of his thugs that was beaten and shot by Frank (Jason Statham) at the Bettencourt Mansion. The production staff located this hospital in Menton, France to shoot the hospital scenes. It was an ideal location since other parts of the movie were filmed in this general area in the South of France.

The truck and trailer used in these scenes was pulled up and down the D9 motorway by a large tow truck for 6 days during filming. The cab was a real Volvo truck cab but was highly modified for the production.

This is the exact location of "Franks house" in The Transporter movie. The house was a set built over the top of this salt water pool. The house was only a front facade and was only filmed from one perseperctive.....the front. The garage for Franks car was right on top of the pool seen in this picture. In the movie you will notice a small ramp that leads up into the garage...the ramp is used because the garage floor is up on this pool. This pool is at the Le Presquille restaurant in Port Miou.
Europacorp (Producers of The Transporter movie) is known for its novel use of product placement in it's films. This picture depicts a scene where Tiger Beer is shown and the brand appears multiple times in the movie. Product placement revenue in movie production is generally used to offset production costs and the amount of revenue generated can vary widely based on how many seconds of screen time a product is displayed, and the prominence of the display, and/or usage of the product in the film.
The opening scenes of The Transporter movie were filmed in this parking garage in Nice, France.
Prior to the filming of The Transporter production the producers (EuropaCorp) commissioned a "prop" of Jason Stathams head. This prop was not used in the actual filming.

Wardrobe consistency binders from The Transporter production.
These binders are kept for each actor and scene so as filming becomes more complex, and many takes over several days are required, the actors are kept in consistent wardrobe and make-up throughout the scene. These are actual "wardrobe consistency binders" from The Transporter movie (Frank Martin) -
